Nail Trimming for a puppy needs to be done regularly.  It is suggested that weakly is the right frequency.  The more you mess with your puppy's feet the better they will handle nail trimming in the future. Even if you arent clipping having the clippers and pretending to clip is a good way to get your pup used to this task.  We do 'Clip for a treat'.  I have cheerios or some small treat and with any clip or pretend clip they get a treat.  Even my toughest to clip dog now does well with nail clipping.

 

Again if you aren't comfortable with this task, a groomer or your vet will be able to do it for you.  If you are comfortable, the clippers  shown below are the best I have ever used.  I will never buy any other product.  This link will take you to the Amazon product but they are available on other sites as well.
